As an early Valentine's date with my wife we availed of the 50% discount offer from BDO. Its was a sunday lunch and we only paid P2399 plus tax. For the price we paid I'd say i was sulit. Though the buffet spread is not that big the selections were delicious! Plus service here is amazing. I requested my shrimps cooked in garlic butter and they did as requested and well plated (see pic). I made an early trip at the desserts station and requested for an extra crispy crepe. The chef served it at our table extra crispy indeed!

I love my buffets. And having the opportunity to try most hotel buffets on Metro Manila is a blessing or a curse in disguise. Haha!
Buffet at New World Makati. Overall rating 5/10. Nothing stood out nor any special surprises. Although for me, I did enjoy their dessert. The chocolate rice cracker was a bonus. Yum! Most food are ok. That's as positive as I can get.
Negatively, cooked seafood ala squid and fish. I do not recommend it. The tuna, snappet head and sea bass were overcooked to the point where the meat was rubbery. The squid was hit and miss. Chewable until not chewable. Forgive the cook. One does not use a flat top griddle to cook seafood. Too easy to overcook and uneven temperature. Better to have a grill.
Another tidbit on the side, maybe it was just me but why am I the only table whose plates were not cleared as it stacked 3 high while my friends beside and across me got their plates cleared right away as soon as they finished. Dissapointed? not really but just an observation.
